The urge to be creative can be almost blinding at times but none more when you are trapped inside your Midwestern home, without power, in the middle of February, in a blizzard. These are the times were your creativity can really save you from cabin fever.
On the day of me posting this entry, my family was without power for only a few hours but the want to do interesting and fun in that time was killing us. While I can't really help out their situation, I ended up grabbing one camera, my favorite and most simple camera, my Fuji X100s, and made a project out of documenting the storm. From inside of course, no one needs to go outside and get pelted by snow that ends up feeling more like 80 grit sandpaper on your face.
I only shot a few images, turned them all black & white and I'm very happy with the results! Next time you are stuck in a snow storm (most likely we will be tomorrow again) grab a camera, a sketchbook, or anything and make something beautiful! Check out my images above!
