Events like this only come around once in a lifetime and I'm honored to be able to capture these memories for you and your family. The items below cover all of the basics that nearly all of my sessions encounter. My goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible while creating the best images we can!


Time Commitment

For my senior sessions, I try to take care of everything and cover all of the photos we need in a relatively short amount of time, typically around 2 hours on average. Session lengths do vary depending on number of outfits, locations, and whether or not you enjoy having your photo taken. Some really love it, but there are others that may not be the most confident in front of the camera or may not enjoy being photographed. I work with everyone individually to ensure we come out great images regardless.


I enjoy photographing you where you’re most at home, tying in your favorite activities to make your session unique: whether that be on the soccer field, in the pool, at their favorite hunting or fishing spot, or even your favorite city in Michigan or across the world. While I typically offer Downtown Bay City, the State Park, Tobico Marsh, and Dow Gardens as my go-to shooting locations, I want to photograph you in a place you feel you can be 100% yourself. For the standard two hour session, I recommend two locations for a variety of backgrounds, colors, and lighting conditions. Generally any spot within a 45 minute drive from Bay City can be used at no extra charge. For locations more than that (for example: Tawas, Petoskey, Traverse City) a $25 per hour travel fee is charged.

Outfits & Changing

Bringing multiple outfits along to a session can be a great way to express yourself, compliment the surroundings, and take your photos to the next level. I suggest bringing two or three comfortable, casual outfits. Please refrain from wearing any neon colors as they can reflect sunlight, changing the color of your skin. Outfits like band or sports uniforms, club shirts, or dance costumes are recommended as well. Feel free to bring as many changes in clothing as you’d like, but keep in mind, time spent changing outfits takes away from our time shooting. I will bring along a portable changing booth for you to change in and most of my typical locations will have bathroom accessibility too.

Rescheduling Sessions

Weather can be constantly changing, for better or worse, here in Michigan. Typically if rain or otherwise bleak conditions not suitable for our session are forecasted, I will contact you leading up to the session to inform you of our options. Rescheduling is done at no charge. In addition to photographing people, I have the incredible opportunity to photograph rocket launches from Cape Canaveral, Florida, as a credentialed member of the media. Launch scheduling is fluid and I often book trips to Florida last-minute though I should know if they may conflict about two weeks in advance. Although uncommon, this can occasionally require last-minute changes in scheduling for senior portrait sessions. If needed, I will work with you to reschedule your session in the most convenient manner possible.

Photo Delivery

Your photos are typically to be delivered to you within two weeks after your session date. The edited digital images will be placed on my photo-sharing website and a private link will be sent to you for viewing, ordering, and sharing. Please feel free to share any and all images from your session. I ask that you please credit me in the caption (Brady Kenniston Photography on Facebook or @BradyKenniston on Instagram) as your word of mouth helps me out tremendously! If you are purchasing the digital images, they can either be delivered through that photo-sharing website via a download button, or you may opt for a USB flash drive. Either option will include a print release.
